Write with what you were trying to do, which phone you were on, and roughly when. Cup Season is built and run by one golfer in Tempe, Arizona; you are writing to him.
If a score did not land, a round posted twice, or you can see something that is not yours, say so first — those are the things we drop everything for.
Installing the app, and opening a link inside it, is at cupseason.app/get.
The sign-in code didn’t come, or didn’t work
There is no password. You type your email and we send a code; the code is what you type back.
- No code yet? Check spam for the newest Cup Season email. Older codes retire when a new one sends.
- “Code didn’t take”? Codes expire when a new one is sent, so use the code in the newest email. Codes are 8 digits.
- “Too many sign-in emails for now”? Give it a few minutes and try again.
- Still stuck? Write in from the email you are signing in with.
A link didn’t open the way you expected
- It opened in the browser instead of the app. Expected before the app is installed. The link works in the browser as it is; once the iPhone app is installed, open the link again from the message.
- It says the round was never finished. There is no scorecard to keep — whoever ran the round can tee off again and send you a new link from that round.
- It says the scorecard is already on a golfer’s record. If you kept it, sign in with the same email and it is in your rounds. If you didn’t, ask whoever sent it for a fresh link.
- It says the scorecard link has expired or was already claimed. Ask whoever sent it to share a fresh one from the round.
- It asks you to sign in. Sign in on that screen. A scorecard or an invitation you opened while signed out is waiting for you after the code, and the app asks before it adds a buddy, takes a seat or puts a round on your record.
Your account
Deleting your account
You can do it yourself, on the phone or the web: open You, then Card & settings, and choose Delete my account at the bottom of Settings. It asks once more before anything happens.
Deleting removes your name, handle, photo, email, photos and share images, and the text of your posts and comments, and your notifications stop. Your posted rounds stay in the leagues you played as "Former member", so standings stay true. The privacy policy says exactly what is kept and why.
If you can't get into the app, write to jerecho@fischbeck3.com from the email on the account and we will delete it for you.
The pot
Cup Season keeps the ledger; the money moves between friends. Nothing is paid through the app. See the pot on the legal page.
